Introduction to Autism: Putting the Pieces Together

As a Staff Member or Educator it is hard to sometimes understand all the ins and outs about Autism Spectrum Disorder, treatments that are out there, best practices, etc. This training provides Staff and Educators with an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder, treatments that are current out there that are evidence based, and a look at how we all view behavior.

Linking the Intervention Puzzle - follow up to Introduction to Autism: Putting the Pieces Together

In this follow-up training to Introduction to Autism, Staff and Educators get an in depth look at how to create sound intervention strategies to meet the needs of thier students. Through role play scenarios and a team based approach, staff work in small groups to assess the area of need, analyze the problem behaviors, and develop sound strategies as a team to work for the individual. This is a great training for all Staff and Educators.

Reinforcement and Motivation

The Reinforcement Theory of Motivation was proposed by B.F. Skinner and his associates. This theory posits that behavior is the function of its consequences, which means an individual develops a behavior after performing certain actions. Within this training Staff and Educators will get a front row seat to learning about why we do what we do. A look at topics such as “what is positive reinforcement”, “what is negative reinforcement”, and why is this important within the behavioral field. This is a truly great training for all Staff and Educators.

Data Collection-From ABC to Frequency

Collecting effective behavioral data is essential for any behavior program. This training will look at the reason why data collection is important and methods of collecting data. From ABC data to Frequency Data. This training will provide educators with the reasons for data collection and provide hands on practice for collecting effective behavior data.

Antecedent Intervention Strategies

As a parent struggling with a child who is engaging in problematic behaviors at home , in the community, or school it can be difficult to figure out just what to do and how best to support your child. This training is designed to provide parents with simple strategies that can be utilized within any environment to decrease, change and assist with problematic behaviors.
