Growing Up With Courage is an independently owned and operated company providing a multitude of resources and services for parents and educators throughout the United States. Here at Growing Up With Courage we have a single mission, to help as many children throughout the country struggling with fear, acceptance, anxiety, and other challenges succeed within in our world today. From providing in-home behavioral supports and consultation for families in the community. To providing unique children’s books that providing more than just a great story and exceptional artwork, they provide opportunities to learn , practice essential skills, and spark discussion; to offering schools book reading and discussion sessions for elementary students. To providing unique and innovative trainings for both parents and educators in areas such as behavioral supports, Autism, Antecedent Intervention Strategies, Growing Up With Courage LLC truly has emerged as company designed to assist and help children, parents and educators throughout the United States.

About the Founder/CEO

Paul DiPietro is a Master’s Level Autism Specialist. He has been working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Autism, and complex behavioral and emotional disabilities for the past 24 years. Paul DiPietro is a children’s author of three Covid-19 related educational books for children, and a fourth book related to differences and bullying currently in production.
Paul is a recent recipient of the Marquis Who’s Who In America Award for his dedication and work within the field.

Personally, Paul enjoys spending as much time with family and friends as possible, enjoys the ocean, music, cycling, swimming, and traveling.  He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience working with individuals with Autism to build awareness in the community. He believes that through knowledge and education you can inform change within the world.

Paul feels strongly that learning and education is the most important thing for our youth today. He believes in teaching our children not only to be successful but to improve our world.

 

Meet The Team

 

Kristal Marshall-Shore, MS, BCBA, LABA, LBA, has more than 35 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities, including in staff training, supervision, consultation, and applied behavior analysis. She began her career as direct care staff at a state hospital in Kansas while obtaining her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in developmental disabilities at Pittsburg State University. After moving into clinical practice Kristal relocated to Connecticut, attained BCBA certification, and went on to serve in a number of capacities as an independent consultant as well as with both state and private agencies. Kristal currently resides in Rhode Island and is the Director of Behavioral Services at a residential facility in Massachusetts serving adults and children with developmental disabilities and other significant health concerns. Kristal is licensed as a Behavior Analyst in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island and serves on the Board for the Rhode Island Association for Applied Behavior Analysis. She is affiliated with the Association of Behavior Analysis International, and the Rainbow Support Group for individuals with developmental disabilities who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender.

Tarold. Miller is currently attaining his Ph. D in Advanced Human Behavior and attaining his BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) certificate and slated to finish his BCBA in 12/2022 and his Ph.D in the winter of 2024. Mr. Miller has also been  a parent living with and supporting a child with autism  for over 20 years. Mr. Miller has spent many years aiding in writing various grants at the state and federal level as well as crafting the skills necessary to provide training and support to district and school-based personnel throughout Connecticut. Having a strong understanding of equity, advanced training in behavior theory and practices and extensive expertise in school-based practices and structures and the implementation of these key tenets, Mr. Miller has scored IEP’s for the state of CT Dept. of Education and consulted with numerous schools and homes regularly to determine student needs based on a whole child approach. Mr. Miller has been working in the field of behavior, equity and education for over 20 years while also helping train over 650 schools in the state of CT as well as provide in-home supports to traumatized therapeutic foster children as well as host bi-monthly and quarterly trainings for foster, fictitious kin, and actual biological families. Mr. Miller has also been extensively trained by nationally syndicated diversity and behavioral specialists within these respective field.
